IELTS Requirements Revised For Overseas Nursing Jobs
Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) has revised the IELTS requirements for Nursing Jobs abroad or English Language requirements.
There is good news for candidates interested in travelling abroad for Nursing Jobs. As per the revised policy for English Language Proficiency, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) of United Kingdome has reduced the IELTS requirements for candidates planning to work in UK. The ealier overall score of 7 continues to be the norm. However, the required IELTS score for writing section has been reduced.
As per the report, candidates now would require an overall IELTS score of 7 with a 6.5 band in writing and 7 in each of the other segments of Reading, Listening and Speaking. IELTS or International English Language Testing System is a widely accepted English Language Proficiency test. IELTS scores are accepted by Universities in USA, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. Most of the European countries also prefer the IELTS scores. The test is administered by British Council and IDP in India.
